An Italo-Portuguese Story

I am an Italian architect with solid roots in Porto. From an early age, I sought a profession that would challenge me and make daily life less routine. It was in my travels that I found the answer: Architecture.

Throughout my life, I realised that my attention was drawn to cities, their buildings, and their spaces. So, after a few years dedicated to the family business, I swapped a technical profession for a more creative one and enrolled in the Faculty ofArchitecture of Parma, in Italy.

I quickly became involved in the world of architecture, collaborating with a group of enthusiasts of the discipline. I then felt the need to broaden my training and give it a new perspective. I made a brave decision and changed my life, choosing the challenge of one of the best schools of architecture in Europe: the one in Porto.

It was in this city that I established solid and inspiring relationships, which still form the basis of my professional and personal network today.

Every architectural project also begins with sharing paths and personal stories. I invite you to come to the studio to share yours and begin a new journey together.

The Family Architect

I believe in architecture as a service and also as a right for those who dream of giving shape and space to their lives. In this process, the architect takes on the crucial role of a guide, thanks to their ability to build a relationship of trust with the client, based on listening.

I advocate the idea of the "family architect" who, much like the family doctor of the past, understands the client's aspirations, desires, and needs, and knows how to translate them into spaces, forms, and materials. An architect must be prepared to create a space in the present, based on its context, but always thinking about the future of those who will inhabit it. Despite the bureaucratisation of the profession, I believe in its value as social work, focused on people. My motto is: "The projects are not for me or my colleagues, but for the people who live in them." That is why I do not cling to preconceptions or trends, preferring to use simple and true words and forms.

Whether it's the space where a family grows, a rehabilitation project that brings soul back to a building, or a real estate investment designed with rigor and future value, the principle is the same: architecture is an act of trust.

If this vision of an architecture based on listening and trust is what you are looking for to create your space, the next step is to schedule an initial consultation to help interpret your needs.

The Two Protagonists: Time and Client

The architect is the main player in the creation of a space. It is the architect who initiates and drives the process, making it as fluid as possible, providing their experience and the solidity of the technical team involved. The client is at the centre, and the architect is by their side.

Where did the kilos of paper go? What does an architect actually produce? What is the value of an idea? The answer is simple. The architect spends hours observing the environment and understanding how to combine desires and possibilities. They dedicate themselves to the client and take all the necessary time to think, imagine, and graphically translate the result of these reflections.

Every space, whether new or familiar, is an opportunity for me to analyse and feed my curiosity; therefore, my field of action is the everyday. The hours spent in front of the computer screen are just the final stage of a longer process of knowledge. Thus, the goal is not to quantify the printed paper, but the quality of the time dedicated to experimenting with combinations between reality and desires.

A successful project requires quality time, dedication to detail, and an absolute focus on the client. If this is the process you value, I am available to begin it with you.

Reality is the Best Inspiration

My experience is the first service I offer my clients. All my previous professional experiences, the different realities and people I have met while travelling, working, and studying, are available for each new project.

Having lived in various professional realities has allowed me to maintain a broad perspective on things, which is fundamental for the balance needed to give each project its own identity. The criteria I follow when designing are few and solid: the client's desires and needs, experience, and the honesty of materials. This last factor is, in fact, my main focus. A material has two components: a visual one, which is easily imitated, and an emotional one that gives honesty to a project. The choice of materials is truly important, as it contributes to the sensitivity of the spaces.

My experience is at the service of this transformation: translating your needs into matter, light, and volume. To explore how your ideas can take shape, meet me at the studio.

The Studio

The Invitation

We live in a world saturated with images, with virtual projections that promise us sensations. But architecture does not belong to that world. Architecture is physical. It is the real light that sculpts a volume, the texture of matter that invites us to touch, the comfortable silence of a well-thought-out space.

That is why my portfolio is not here. It does not fit on a screen, because it is made of matter, of smells, of sounds, and of physical emotions. My real work is not born from a single conversation, but from a continuous dialogue. It is a process of sharing and time, where attentive listening builds the mutual trust that is the foundation of every project.

If you are looking for a space with a soul, our starting point cannot be digital. I invite you to a first conversation at my studio, to explore your ideas and needs. True architecture will be born as a consequence.
